AWARE RESEARCH REPORT

NOVEMBER 2018-FEBRUARY 2019
Student Researcher

AWARE is the Association of Women for Action and Research. It is a non-profit organisation that aims to remove barrier through research, advocacy, education, training and support services.

A report was done by students from Ngee Ann Polytechnic's Diploma of Psychology Studies to explore the parental division of labour as affected by parent-child relationships and the presence of grandparents in a household.

AWARE has collaborated with my team and me to conduct a research study on the gendered division of labour in a household and young people's perceptions, behaviours and beliefs regarding the division of labour in terms of caregiving responsibilities and gender roles.

Student Facilitator and Volunteer

Ashram Family Day is a family-friendly carnival, hosted on 6 January 2019, in celebration of the 20th Anniversary of HEB-Ashram.

Ngee Ann Polytechnic's Psychology Studies Students were partners in this event.

All students were put in groups of 6 and are in charge of a booth.

My group and I created a game called "Ball Toss" and through the event, we interacted with about 200 residents of all ages while assisting them in the game and questions.
